Eastenders to axe King Rat

Derek Martin

by Jonathon Blakeley

The BBC has had a string of gaffs recently that seem to highlight the growing incompetence, arrogance and greed at the heart of the Beeb. The actual programming seems very wrong these days. The total obsession with lifestyle programming, reality programs and of course Eastenders. If there had ever been a program so full of cliché stereotypes and sick pathetic story-lines then Eastender must surely be it. It is shocking to think that Eastenders has been on the TV for over 25 years. But the problems at the BBC are not just limited to dodgy storylines on Eastenders.

Programs on

  • Cooking
  • Property
  • Makeovers
  • Elimination programs
  • Celebrity programs
  • Talent programs
  • Period dramas

Other BBC controversies

  • The Bod Geldof Bandaid slander
  • The Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross telephone pranks
  • BBC presenters say the C**T word twice in a day.
  • Eastenders Cot death baby swap plot
  • The furore of BBC final pensions
  • The gross excesses of BBC staff
  • The blatant bias towards ISRAEL
  • The Panorama investigation in FIFA that scuppered the World Cup Bid
  • The BBC’s desire to become a global Website
  • The Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles fallout
  • BBC Correspondent Nick Robinson loses the plot and smashed someones plackard
  • Upsetting the Queen 2007 (NB ITV was offered to interview Will and Kate Middleton, not the BBC)

BBC loses the plot

RatBall

GOWR Ball

Eastenders has been beset with controversy of late. The BBC soap seems to have lost the plot with increasingly desperate attempts to attract audiences back firing horribly. Derek Martin who plays Charlie Slater in Eastenders, appeared today on ITV’s ‘this morning’ (7/1/11), trying to calm the furore.

The latest gross mistake was the cot death baby swap plot. Even die-hard fans have been appalled at the plot. Derek Martin; is King Rat of the Grand Order of Water Rats; an entertainment brotherhood based in London. Derek shrugged off the criticisms with the comment “People have different opinions.” & “We have had hard hitting story lines in the past, rapes etc”…Eamon Holmes quipped “and aren’t you leaving the show soon?” Since the new exec producer at Eastenders had come on board rumours have circulated that 6 members were to go > Martin who has been on the show since 04.09.2000 is due to go next week. “Yes but I hope to come back” Martin replied.

Even EastEnders actress Samantha Womack is leaving the show, although apparently it is not related to the sick plot. A case of rats leaving the sinking ship perhaps…

The Grand Order of Water Rats also has a sister organisation; the Grand Order of Lady Ratlings. Ostensibly GOLR is a charitable sisterhood, formed from the entertainments industry.

In the same ITV show Derek Martin bragged that ‘I stole £150,000 of meat’ back in the 60’s. “He had got caught, went to trial and just got off.” One of the jurors said afterwards that Martin was natural born actor and from that day on, he decided to work in the entertainment industry.

World Cup bid: BBC receives 387 complaints about Panorama investigation

by Jonathon Blakeley

The Corporation was heavily criticised for broadcasting a Panorama investigation into corruption within football’s governing body in the days leading up to the vote.

David Cameron, who personally travelled to Zurich to try to swing the decision in Britain’s favour, said at the time that the timing of the programme was “frustrating”.

And several Fifa members have confirmed the British media played a part in the bid’s rejection.

Junji Ogura, the Japanese delegate, said the coverage undermined the technical excellence of England’s campaign.

“I thought England was a very strong candidate,” Mr Ogura told the BBC. “Their presentation was one of the best presentations.

“But I think there was a big influence from the BBC and the Sunday Times. These reports possibly influenced people. It made damage for some people.”

Andy Anson, who headed the campaign, confirmed that Fifa delegates believe the British media “killed” the bid.

Speaking at a press conference at the bid team’s headquarters in Zurich, chief executive Andy Anson said: “We have spoken to some executive committee members. And I’ll be very clear that what they are saying to us is one thing.

“I’ll caveat this by saying this is not our excuse at all. But they are saying to us that our media killed us.”

Interestingly enough I was watching the TV this morning. Daybreak with Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley. They were interviewing a famous footballer (whose name I can’t remember), about the British bid and asked him what he thought had gone wrong.

He Looked at Adrian and said,

“Well FIFA call themselves a brotherhood, and we know what connotations that has. ” He said knowingly, but not saying anymore.

My research from the internet seems to indicate that the “Knights of Malta” and their related orders are in control of various sports games (Ball Games).

  1. Football
  2. Rugby
  3. Cricket
  4. Tennis

Knights of Malta is generally synonymous with the medieval Order of Knights of Malta also known as Knights Hospitaller or, among other names, Order of St. John.

It may also refer to:

  1. Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the Rome-based successor of the Knights Hospitaller, widely considered a sovereign subject. In 1834, the Order established a new headquarters in Rome. The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, better known as the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM), is a Roman Catholic religious order. Its sovereign status is recognised by membership in numerous international bodies and observer status at the United Nations and others. However, its claim to sovereign status is disputed by some scholars. The Order maintains diplomatic relations with 104 countries, with numerous ambassadors. It issues its own passports, currency, stamps and even vehicle registration plates. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta has a permanent presence in 120 countries, with 12 Grand Priories and Sub-Priories and 47 national Associations, as well as numerous hospitals, medical centres, day care centres, first aid corps, and specialist foundations, which operate in 120 countries. Its 13,000 members and 80,000 volunteers and over 20,000 medical personnel – doctors, nurses and paramedics – are dedicated to the care of the poor, the sick, the elderly, the disabled, the homeless, terminal patients, lepers, and all those who suffer. The Order is especially involved in helping victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by providing medical assistance, caring for refugees, and distributing medicines and basic equipment for survival.
  2. Venerable Order of Saint John, an English order of chivalry, parent body of St John Ambulance, at some time considered to be a langue of the Knights Hospitaller
  3. Order of Malta (Freemasonry), a Masonic order closely associated with the Masonic Knights Templar

The Grand Order of Water Rats is also a brotherhood, but instead of sports its focus is entertainment.

The Speculative Society is another brotherhood this one specialises in legal matters….

The rise and fall of journalism

by Jonathon Blakeley

More and more News presenters are showing signs of extreme stress and and increasingly lashing out at the public. It seems they are frustrated at being mocked by the very people they are supposed to serve. There was a time when being a media journalist was an occupation that conferred some sense of respect and admiration.

What is it that is making all these Journalists so angry?

  • Money. Financial doubt
  • 911 Conspiracy theorists
  • Bloggers
  • People waving plackards
  • Wikileaks
  • People other than the media and politicans expressing themselves
  • The use of the F*** word
  • The use of the Z****** word
  • People smoking

Once upon a time…..Journalists were upholders of the truth and acted as checks and balances to the system. These  days they are they are the mouthpieces for PR Agencies, Press Handlers and the Intelligence services and their propaganda machines. They are complicit, and push the capitalist, moronic message where ever possible. Investigative journalism is great and interesting but very time-consuming and costly. It’s much cheaper to rehash the news from Reuters and Associated Press and then brand it accordingly.

The cult of celebrity

The media has been instrumental in creating the cult of celebrity, primarily for those with good looks and some talent. And for those with none it has offered the Quiz, Contest, Competition, Capitalism and Sport. The love of power and the power of love, both became abused and corrupted with in our diverse societies. Underpinning everything was the Disneyland programming – “when you wish upon star”.

For journalists celebrities are perfect – they want publicity and the journalists want news. So what makes for news these days is not how many innocent IRAQI civilians were killed in the war, rather what is Lady GaGa wearing today?

Types of Journalism

  1. Journalism based on investigation – Questioning
  2. Journalism based on news – repetition of facts.
  3. Journalism based on reviews
  4. Colum based Journalism
  5. Journalism based on fact and infered conclusions (suspicions) – subject to litigation risks

What seems to happen to most investigative Journalists these days is they ask the basic questions. The closed questions they are fine with, but the  more tricky open questions of how and why? They seem to stay well clear of.

  1. What
  2. Where
  3. When
  4. Who
  5. How
  6. Why

In reality, the journalists and mainstream media outlets are impotent, corrupt and incompetent. They have huge salaries and live luxurious lifestyles whilst feeling morally superior than the rest of us peasants.

When journalists became celebrities they lost their credibility. But to justify to their dwindling audiences and that they are still hip to all the techie stuff, the journalists have to constantly refer to

  • twitter
  • blogs
  • i-phones
  • facebook
  • google

You can follow me on twitter, or read my blog or catch up with me on facebook. Ticking every proverbial social networking box.

  • They ask closed questions
  • They ridicule
  • they Oppose

They use phrases like… Sources close to _______ said X about Y.

Andrew Marr published an article recently, criticising bloggers and are describing them as “pimpled, single and angry”….

Nick Robinson loses it with anti-war protester

“The BBC political editor Nick Robinson becomes the latest victim of a disease that is spreading around Westminster TV journalists

A serious illness is overcoming political journalists at Westminster. It’s called Diva Fever, and – like the X Factor rejects who coincidentally share the same name – it’s catching.

The disease had earlier been confined to the outer reaches of the digital programme guide, with Sky political editor Adam Boulton and his presenter colleague Kay Burley being early victims.”
