SEO Search Engine Optimisation.

SEO is a big subject, with many experts touting their advice and experience. Ultimately it is a combination of things that gets a web site found under certain key phrases and keywords. But SEO is more than meta tags. SEO is the synthesis of many diverse web elements in to a succesful harmony.

  1. Clean Code
  2. accessibility
  3. Heading tags
  4. Keyphrases
  5. Meta tags
  6. Design
  7. Content

I am not really interested in paying money to search engines for sponsored adds. Equally I would advise my clients against such a move. Why you ask? Simple, the Big search engines have a very cosy monopoly over internet searches. You can pay out loads of money to them if you wish, But like Daniel eyeing Goliath, I believe their days are numbered. I could not in my heart really suggest to any client of mine that they actually pay money to for add words, or sponsored listings. Quite the opposite, I want to help them build an Internet marketing strategy that is not reliant on one or two search engines.

SEO is like sauce

The truth is Click through traffic is not a qualified lead. What the search engines do is encourage people to pay for leads. But the leads are not qualified. Just because someone searches on something and clicks through does not make it a definite lead.

Leads are easy to come by -  drifters, grifters, time wasters a plenty but very few transform from Lead to Prospect. That takes qualification, questioning, gathering information from the lead.

Organic Links Rule.

In my posts which I have trawled from the net and in my personal writings and rants I hope you will get a feel for the current state  of the web and SEO. We are living in very interesting times.
