Julian Assange the power of truth
Julian Assange is the 68th most powerful person in the world according to Forbes ; an American website which tracks the rise and fall of the powerful in the world. Other notables are Oprah Winfrey at 64, the Pope at No 5, Angela Merkel No 6, David Cameron No 7, Bill gates 10, Steve Jobs 17 and Julian Assange at no 68.
The thing that distinguishes Julian from the rest on the list, is well almost everything.
- He is not rich
- He is not a President or a CEO
- Strangely not interested in making money
- Doesn’t trust the media
- uses technology for Truth and uncovering corrupt governments
The only ones on the list he has anything in common with is the Dalai Lama, and his non violent approach. Julian Assange is a product of our age, an anti hero, he has come to bring truth and ethics where there has been none. Wikileaks has made mainstream journalists look irrelevant, narcissistic and impotent.
People have tried to imply that Julian is trying ot turn this into a personality cult surrounding him. 
But this is laughable. If any body deserved the Nobel Peace prize then it has got to be Julian Assange. Even if he was to meet with an unfortunate accident or commit suicide as so many do. I am certain there would be plenty to replace him. He has inspired hackers and computer geeks the world over, the revolution will be viral and truth can cause massive change.
The sickening truth is this – There is no point in protesting at one of the approved locations at an approved time. If you try to protest out side the approved areas and timeswhere you may get heard, you are likely to have extreme and possibly fatal force used against you by the Police thugs, or at the very least a BBC journalist will destroy your placard.
Julian Assange realised the only way to change things was to play the game in different ways. We cant beat the system using conventional protest and activism. By realising that and maintaining his vision he has done more to change things for the bertter than all the other politicians put together. Julian Assange is a selfless idealist fighting for truth and ethics in world that has long since forgotten such noble aims.
