Google spanked for bidding on its own ad auctions

Google likes to argue that its search advertising empire is immune to anti-trust claims because it doesn’t set ad prices. AdWords, the company says, is an auction where advertisers bid for the placement of paid links. But the reality is far more complicated.

One issue is that in some cases, Google is bidding in its own auctions. As you may have noticed when, say, Google unveiled its Nexus One phone or told the world it might leave China, Mountain View uses AdWords to run its own house ads

HAARP Pakistan/Russia/China

Weather Manipulation rather than War

The question everyone is asking is have we been seeing the evidence HAARP in the recent disasters in Pakistan, Fires in Russia, Landslides in China. Channel 4 news reported that jet stream was in a weird form that had given rise to the extreme weather. What if the weather changes we have been seeing were not because of global warming but because of secret weather manipulation experiments using HAARP?

What if HAARP casued the Indian Ocean Tsunami of 2004?

It makes you wonder…?

Social media costs UK billions

Employees who fritter time away on Facebook, Twitter and other social media websites are costing British businesses billions, new research suggests.

British employment website MyJobGroup.co.uk said it polled 1,000 British workers and found that nearly 6%, or 2 million, of Britain’s 34 million-strong workforce spent over an hour per day on social media while at work, amounting to more than one eighth of their entire working day.

“Our results clearly show that UK workers are spending increased time whilst at work on social media networks, which, left unchecked, could have negative repercussions on the productivity of many companies across the country,” managing director of Myjobgroup.co.uk Lee Fayer said in a statement with the results of the survey.

Longboard Noserider

Today was a good day. The sun was shining and after a short car trip I returned to the Surf Shack. I noticed a dude was having a yard sale and I stopped to talk to him. I had noticed a sign the other day advertising some long boards. He offered me to come and have a look.

It was love at first sight. Long board love. It was gleaming white extreme concave noserider. He explained he needed to get to France for the surf was good there and he was looking to scale down and get some quick money. Sensing I was in the right time at the right place and after a little haggling we shook and I got my first long board.

So I took it out and gave it a go, it was excellent, fast like a catamaran. The concave nose seemed to make it glide through the water a lot more quickly than my previous longboard. Easy to balance and steer and light. I cant wait for the surf tomorrow.

The only downside I see to surfing is “swimmers ear” a condition caused by water getting in the ear and causing “itchy inner ear syndrome”. Which is damned annoying but not as bad as root canal treatment. The remedy I am still looking for. I have tried some ear plugs but they don’t last long. As soon as one gets wiped out they disappear.

Some hardcore surfers get it real bad and they have to have their ears drilled. This is because the surf so much in all conditions that cartilage starts to grow to cover the ear and protect it. Something to be avoided.
